I wanted to eat from Punjab Grill since a while and one fine day I saw a listing of this restaurant on Swiggy. I thought of ordering something.
Butter Chicken Roll: It was wrapper in rumali roti and inside there were a lot of chicken tikkas. The flavor of the roll was good but not too punchy flavour of butter chicken. There was good flavoured chutney along with it which tasted nice with the onions and lemon. 4/5 on taste.
Tandoori Murgh: A perfectly cooked chicken tandoori with great flavors and tender chicken. It is among the top 3 chicken tandoori in Mumbai I have had. 5/5 on taste.
Butter Chicken Kulcha: Excellently cooked and flavorful kulcha filled with a lot of chicken in butter chicken flavor. More than the kulcha, the best part was the accompaniments. Daal makhani was excellent and so was white butter which added a nice flavor when topped on the kulcha. Green chutney was great and a red chutney which tasted like Gujarati chunda was a delight. Overall a great dish. 4.5/5 on taste.
Mutton Achari Kulcha: There was a lot of mutton in it with a subtle achari flavor which was good. But the overall flavor of the kulcha was a downgrade compared to the butter chicken one. 3/5 on taste.
Malai Kulcha: It was the best I have had. It was full of cream cheese which was tasty. There was so much cheese inside that I was surprised. Every bite had a big chunk of cheese. Everything tasted great. 5/5 on taste.
Banarasi Tamatar Kulcha: The kulcha was a bit smaller in size and with less filling comapred to the Malai kulcha. The taste was good but not among the best of Punjab grill. 3.5/5 on taste for the kulcha only and 4/5 overall with all the sides.
Overall an enjoyable experience with this restaurant and I would update this review as I order more items in the future.
Value for Money: 3.5/5
